Wow! Are ice storms a rarity up there?
See, we don't get much snow, but our ice storms are pretty bad.
Last year the ice storm came just as our silver maples budded, and we kept several preserved beauties in our freezer for the longest time, so we could look at them... the storm itself took out miles of power lines, and created a nasty mess of fallen limbs.
